Dave's first movie credit

We went to the cast and crew screening of Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore on the Warner Brothers lot. It is fun seeing your name in the credits.

Flipped Movie Premiere

One of the joys of living in LA are that you get to go to movie premieres. Today we got to go see Flipped, a film by Rob Reiner, who directed such classics as The Princess Bride, This is Spinal Tap, A Few Good Men, The Bucket List, and When Harry Met Sally. This one was more in the vein of Princess Bride than the others, as it was a family friendly film set in the late 50's and early 60's about a pair of adolescents trying to deal with the realities of young love. I definitely recommend that you go see this film (take your significant other.)

Yum-Yums

Kris made us a special birthday treat tonight: Bruschetta (and I really hope I spelled that right).

At the Movies

We went and saw Inception with our brother-in-law Kris, who is visiting for a few days. The movie was crazy, to say the least, but I loved every little bit of it. My personal favorite part was the sweet fight in the rotating hallway in the middle. How did they do that? Anyway, it was a really cool movie and you should all go see it!

Happy Birthday to Me!

So we were able to go to Knotts Berry Farm for dinner for my birthday. It was yummy fried goodness encircled in delicious berry sweetness; all for $15.99 (Limited time offer, may not be available in all locations). We finished dinner around 7 and decided to go and enjoy the theme park for a few hours before it closed at 10. It was nice and uncrowded, so we got to do pretty much all the big rides in the little time we had, although we didn't get to watch any of the shows or other entertainment, sadly.

Present

So Dave and I are pretty bad about giving gifts. Either we skip gifts all together or we give them to eachother really late. Just within this last month Dave and I both finally got our Christmas presents (although mine has to be sent back and exchanged because it died on us). So for our anniversary, my present for Dave just got in; much better than our Christmas gifts, but still a tad late. That's ok tho, I still beat him to it.

Does everybody know what time it is?

Tonight we took a trip to the hardware store for some general stuff, and of course we came back with more than we originally planned.

Happy Independence Day!

Here is a crappy video of the fireworks we went to celebrate Independence Day! All the kids and a lot of the adults seemed to love it though. I think next year we'll go somewhere better. But a big thanks to our servicemen and women who help keep our country free.

Toy Story 3/Anniversary!

Today was our 1 year anniversary!! What a wonderful year it has been. To celebrate, we kind of had a relaxing day. We went and saw Toy Story 3 in the morning, then we spent the afternoon at the beach, and for dinner we went to The Cheesecake Factory. Yum! It was a great day, in commemoration of a great year!

Sparks!

We got free tickets (which turned out to be pretty awesome seats) to the Sparks game. It was really really fun. Outside the Staples Center Tokyo Pop was having a convention in the LA Expo center, so we people watched before the game started. That was pretty fun too.

Sorry the sound is so off in the video, we're not sure why it's doing that.

Sparks Game

So tonight we went to a Sparks game. We have some video, but the audio is so far off that I am going to try to fix it before I upload it. Be patient....its coming.
